Sanders Note: The Frick Art Reference Library recorded that Edith Kneeland said the painting came from a “Mrs. Glenny” who bequeathed it to her mother. The painting was consigned to Sotheby’s in 1970 by Williamson Pell, but was withdrawn from sale.
