The monumental Shore Bird included a ladder, which allowed access to the bird’s barklike body and offered a breathtaking vista of Langlais’s sculpture park and the St. George River beyond: a literal “bird’s-eye view.” The aerial views seen in the films shown in the adjacent gallery were shot from atop Shore Bird.
