Bowl, silver with bronze details, made by Tiffany and Company, New York City for the Seawanhaka [Corinthian] Yacht Club, Oyster Bay, NY, 1896. Images of Native Americans—such as the figures wearing bear claw necklaces that adorn this elegant punch bowl designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany—were symbols of wilderness and permeated Victorian culture on many levels.
